All classes teach the Iyengar method of Hatha Yoga.  This vigorous approach emphasizes a balance between strength and flexibility, builds endurance, and develops self-awareness through precision in movement and attention to subtle aspects of posture and breath.
The B.K.S. Iyengar method of hatha yoga is internationally known for its emphasis on form, alignment of bones, rhythmic breathing and the use of props. By using such things as chairs, blocks, pillows, belts, and blankets, anyone can benefit from the pose, no matter their age or level or fitness.
Hatha yoga is intended to compliment, not substitute for the advice of your physician. Although hatha yoga can be done by most people, it may not be recommended for those with special medical problems. Always consult your doctor before starting any medical or physical regime.
